The next pair of workshops in the Old College will continue on the prehistoric theme linked to the Archaeopteryx exhibition at the Old College.. These creative writing workshops on a variety of topics are offered to the public free pf charge. This series is funded by the Aber Fund and organised by Matthew Francis, Department of English and Creative Writing, Aberystwyth University.
Please meet the tutors in the foyer of the Old College about five minutes before the start time of the session.

Alice Vernon is a Creative Writing PhD student and part-time tutor at Aberystwyth University. She recently won the 18 – 25 category in the 2016 Daniel Owen Writing Competition, and her reviews have appeared in New Welsh Review. Her thesis involves interdisciplinary research that draws together literary fiction and popular science journalism.
Richard Henson is a Creative Writing PhD student, currently working as a part-time private tutor. He has written for publications such as The Irregular and the Southampton Review. His thesis discusses the mechanics of monstrous characters and reader expectation, and is currently on the road to publication.
