Old College Writing Workshops

Come along to a literary celebration featuring tutors and participants in a very special series of creative writing workshops.

Starting in December 2016 with support from the Aber Fund, the English and Creative Writing Department at Aberystwyth University has been offering a series of two creative writing workshops each month free of charge for the public. Professor Matthew Francis of the English and Creative Writing Department organises the series, and tutors for the sessions are drawn from postgraduate students in the English and Creative Writing Department.

We have been delighted to see that the free workshops have brought together members of the wider community as well as the university, for a rich and rewarding creative experience.

The evening will start off with a reception and include readings by participants to share the fiction or poetry they wrote in response to workshop activities. Tutors will also read from their own work. Do come along to the Old College with its Hogwarts atmosphere to hear what these experienced and budding writers have produced.
